About Dale
I came to painting later in life, beginning my artistic journey in 2021 after retiring. What started as a new creative pursuit quickly became something much more. Within a few years, my work was being recognized in judged and juried exhibitions, finding its way into collectors’ homes, and giving me an entirely new chapter I hadn't anticipated.
My work has received multiple awards in judged exhibitions, including People’s Choice honors, and has been selected for juried fine arts exhibitions.
I’m a member of the Sun West Art Club, Arizona Artists Guild, and Vanguard Artists Critique Group. I continue to study, experiment, and challenge myself with subjects ranging from landscapes to more unexpected scenes. What connects them is my fascination with dramatic light, atmosphere, color, and the moments that make me stop and look a little longer.
I paint because I genuinely enjoy the process of discovering what a painting can become—and because, even after all the paintings I've completed, I'm still excited to see what the next one teaches me.
